Overview
This video explains how the Color Update Function can reduce the time required to update an analysis model after repeated CAD design changes by reconnecting existing loads and boundary conditions to the modified geometry.
Design Change Analysis Workflow :
• Color-Based Condition Mapping
The Color Update Function uses color information assigned to regions where loads and boundary conditions are applied. In this example, boundary condition regions are assigned blue and load condition regions are assigned red.
• Analysis Model Update
When the same colors are assigned to corresponding regions in the modified CAD model, existing analysis conditions can be reconnected to the updated geometry. This reduces the need to rebuild the analysis model from the beginning during repeated design changes.
• Design Comparison & Result Review
The original and modified models are compared based on stress, safety factor, displacement, volume, and weight to evaluate the weight reduction effect and structural safety after the design change.
The video demonstrates how the Color Update Function supports the repeated design → analysis → design change → reanalysis process by efficiently reapplying existing analysis conditions.
